1979 MG Midget

This is the story from John Lang about his Midget adventures.
Here's a note from John himself:

Allow me to introduce myself! My name is John. Like Adrian, and hopefully, many others out there I am also restoring a Midget. Adrian has been gracious enough to give me time and space on his page, and for that I thank him. I didn't take many photos of the car before disassembly, but, you get the idea, not too bad, could (and will) be better. As I go along I would like to share what I have done, what I would like to do, things I have learned along the way, things I think can benefit others, and whatever else comes to mind. I would also like to share how and why I came to be a Midget person. I will tell you where I have found parts other than the usual outlets (Moss, Victoria, Etc.) and people who have helped me who may be able to help you. I also hope others out there with information will share what they have found. For now I will leave you with that, and a few photos.

Talk to you soon,
John

We all make sacrifices for our little cars. Below, you can see the car that John gave up...The new Midget would probably have fit in the passenger seat of this car.

Here's a front view with his daughter Kelly in the car (she's 4). If John's wife asks, tell her he got the car for when Kelly's old enough to drive!

Front and rear views without the bumpers. Fortunately, no surprises behind them.

It has rust in all the usual places.

So here you can see the original color. John likes it much better than yellow!
